1973 Citation for Meritorious Service from The President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped awarded to The McGraw-Hill Companies for "giving opportunity in employment to qualified handicapped workers."
1974 Honorable Mention from the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards awarded to the McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Company for "La Raza" ("The People"), the first television documentary series to take a comprehensive look at the role of Mexican-Americans in the U.S.
1978 Catalyst award for service on corporate boards of directors presented to Beryl Robichaud, senior vice president for Corporate Management Information Services, The McGraw-Hill Companies.
1978 YWCA-International TWIN(Tribute to Women in International Industry) award presented to Beryl Robichaud, senior vice president for Corporate Management Information Services, The McGraw-Hill Companies.
1987 Special Award from the City of New York Mayor's Office for the Handicapped awarded to The McGraw-Hill Companies "not only because it has a wide range of areas in which it hires handicapped people, but also because it promotes them within the company."
1992 The NOD Certificate of appreciation from the National Organization on Disability awarded to BusinessWeek and The McGraw-Hill Companies for their support of the disabled.
1994 Corporate Image Award from the National Urban League awarded to The McGraw-Hill Companies for its long-standing commitment to and support of The Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP).
1996 Corporate Image Award from the National Urban League awarded to The McGraw-Hill Companies for its long-standing commitment to and support of The Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP).
1997 National University Multicultural Heritage Award presented to KGTV San Diego for building a workforce that "reflects the cultural diversity" of its viewing area.
1997 Better New York and One Hundred honored The McGraw-Hill Companies for its minority and community general good corporate citizenship.
1998 Asian American Federation of New York honored Gene Marcial, Business Week "Inside Wall Street" editor, for his accomplishments in publishing.
2000 Best Practice Awards for "Managing Workplace Diversity" and "Integration of Work and Family Values" from the Garden State Council of the Society for Human Resources Management awarded to The McGraw-Hill Companies' Hightstown Center in recognition of its status as one of New Jersey's top employers.
