Lunch and Learns
Lunch can be more than just a sandwich; it can also be a time to learn and gain valuable life skills. Given our respect for lifelong learning, we organize Lunch and Learns, a time to dine and delve into some of the more pressing issues facing The McGraw-Hill Companies, and society at large.
Lasting about an hour and a half, sessions are modeled off of university lectures, with employees participating in person and online, from all over the world. Frequently, Lunch and Learns feature our published authors, who lead discussions on their respective areas of expertise.
An ongoing series--focusing on financial literacy--helps employees navigate the intricacies of money management. The goal of the WorkLife Financial Confidence Series is empowerment: to inspire employees to continue to learn, grow and succeed financially. Each series is designed to deliver education on money management, savings and investments vehicles, and long-term financial strategies. Not merely theoretical, the material is designed to provide our staff with action steps to implement immediately and to give them the financial confidence they need to succeed.
Other recent topics have included managing 401(k) investments and women in investing.
