INROADS
How does one prepare for a corporate job? Some young people see corporate life through their parents’ employment, while to others it’s a foreign world.
Since 1996, The McGraw-Hill Companies has supported the mission of INROADS—to develop and place talented minority youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership—by hiring student interns to work at facilities across the U.S.
Through its partnership with McGraw-Hill, INROADS interns begin to learn the distinctive characteristics of the corporate world, develop required social skills and adeptness, and gain a better understanding of the complexities of the business world.
During the summer of 2007, McGraw-Hill employed a total of 18 INROADS interns across the organization and expanded to our Chicago Offices for the first time. This year we will be expanding to Desoto, Texas. During the past few years, we have been able to offer a full-time position to each graduating INROADS intern.
