Health and Safety

The health of our employees and their families is very important to us. The robust benefits that all employees enjoy reflect this belief.

Our programs focus on prevention – we offer 100 percent coverage for preventive care in one of our US health care options, and we actively encourage our employees to pursue healthy lifestyles, thereby enhancing their own wellbeing and workplace productivity.

The McGraw-Hill Companies contributes to 80 percent of healthcare costs and offers a progressive system across 5 salary bands making its healthcare benefits more accessible to its employees. In the past year we have had a 15 percent increase in the targeted population taking advantage of prevention programs such as mammograms and HPVV vaccinations.

Our anti-smoking, weight loss, and exercise initiatives provide employees with the resources and support they need to reach personal wellness goals.

Our businesses do not involve heavy manufacturing or other activities that place employees at great personal risk. Therefore, we deal with very minimal on-the-job injuries. We do, however, actively encourage our employees to avoid repeated stress injuries, and provide extensive information on the subject, not to mention ergonomically correct office equipment.
