Overview
Through grassroots-driven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), we recognize and support diversity in the workplace. These groups enable employees to connect and discuss a shared set of interests, experiences and perspectives and have been been vital in fostering a mentoring culture throughout The McGraw-Hill Companies.
Employee Resource Groups
There are currently seven ERGs serving our diverse employees.

Mentoring
At The McGraw-Hill Companies, we believe that mentoring is a key component of employee development - helping to strengthen relationships, foster collaboration and cultivate diverse leadership. Launched in 2004, The McGraw-Hill Mentoring Program offers a broader view of the company, professional skill development, and increased networking opportunities. To date, over 3,000 employees across the globe have participated in our programs.
Two of our most popular programs include:
The McGraw-Hill Mentoring Program, offered in-person and virtually, is a one-on-one program and pairs mentees with mentors across business units and locations based on the mentee's goals and developmental needs.
The McGraw-Hill Reverse Mentoring Program is an innovative program where senior leaders are mentored by more junior colleagues on topics like technology, cultural and generational differences. Reverse Mentoring incorporates an inventive, new process of sharing ideas, knowledge and experience, by increasing the understanding of the language, nuance and benefits of the digital world, innovative and collaborative thinking and to develop change agents across the company.
